The day before yesterday we had a huge lightening storm and got heaps of rain...like, HEAPS of rain!! I was thinking we must have gotten around 30 mm of rain. But when I checked the rain guage the next morning it reckons we only got 11 mm! I think its wrong...or that maybe the rain guage fairies have taken some of the rain out of my guage to make tiaras or wands or something!
Im just sayin, you dont live with a tin roof for 23 years and NOT be able to judge rainfall. :( Grrrr! Stupid fairies!!
Bec, the top of the gauge is so narrow - if the rain is slanting, wouldn't that stop the rain from going in?
