Our Wedding Anniversary...

Last week, Wednesday to be exact, was our THIRD wedding anniversary! :)

We had a lovely, though un-eventful day, starting with:

...we got up at 5:30am so that we could go to the Temple. We then battled peak hour traffic for 3.5 hours (normally a 2.5 hour journey) only to find that the Temple...was shut!

Seriously!

After being entirely bummed out (and had a little cry cos it would have been so perfect to attend the Temple on our anniversary) Michael tried very hard to cheer me up by taking me to the RSPCA Barn...where we spent WAY too much on little Pepper! :)

She received two bags of yoghurt treats (one vanilla flavoured, one strawberry flavoured), a dried out tendon (think pig's ear, kind of), as well as a new Lovey :) This one is in the guise of a squirrel and has a squeaker in its head and tail, as well as a rubbery tummy (with grooves in it to stimulate her gums) and it has crinkly arms and legs, so it makes LOTS of noise, which she loves!

We then went and hung out at Michael's mum's place for a *short* visit of around two hours! :) It was a lovely visit, and it was a shame we had to get on the road again, but we had to stop by Cleavers (a gun shop) for Dad, AND make it to Buderim in time for our 2:30pm remedial massage session :) (which was GREAT)*phew* it was certainly a busy day!

I have to say though, that our day really got off to a great start, here's why:
When we got up at 5:30, Pepper was still sound asleep, and not wanting to be delayed in getting ready by having to entertain her, we let her sleep in. At about 5 minutes to 6, Michael gently woke her and carried her outside to have a wee. Once she'd finished she hopped back up onto the back step and greated me with a lovely big smile and an excitedly wagging tail - it was wagging so much her whole body wagged!! It was like she was saying: 'Morning Mum!'...she then went in search of Michael and did the exact same thing to him! (Except it was 'Morning Dad' LOL).

It really started our day off fantastically, and we remarked back on it several times throughout the day :)

Here's us 3 years ago:

Gosh! I was SO much skinnier then!

And here's our family now:

  1. Bec, I really like the photo!! What a great (obviously) way to do the photo - in black and white, in Pepper's colour theme :)
I don't think you look much different at all :)
I'm really glad you had a good day! It was lovely to have you come for a visit, thank you :)
(Three down, only sixty odd years to go, and then all eternity.. :)
    xoxo
